Error: "Cannot Remove NotesDocument..." Deleting Previewed Message from Sent View

Technote Number: 1096233

Problem:
This issue was reported to Lotus Quality Engineering and has been addressed in
Notes 5.0.7 and 6.0.

Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 5.0.7 QMR fix list (available
at http://www.notes.net):

Templates - Mail
SPR # RGER4BZE5S - This fix will resolve the issue of deleting a mail message
from the Sent view with the preview pane open. Users would received a "Cannot
Remove NotesDocument when instantiated by NotesUIDocument".

As a work around for versions prior to 5.0.7, ignore the error message and
return to the Sent view. The trash icon displays next to the message which can
be deleted by refreshing the view.

Supporting Information:

The following steps reproduce this issue.

Open your R5 Mail file to the Sent view.
Open the Preview pane.
Highlight a document.
Mark the document for deletion by select either the Delete Action, Delete key,
or Action/Delete from the menu.
Select the Delete button in the following dialog box:

"You are about to delete the selected document(s) from the Sent View. This
action will delete the selected document(s) from all folders they belong to.
Would you like to continue deleting these documents or remove them from the
Sent view instead? Delete/Remove/Cancel"

The error message "Cannot remove NotesDocument when instantiated by
NotesUIDocument" displays. The document is marked for deletion with the trash
can icon. It is not deleted immediately as it would have been if the preview
pane were not open. This occurs even when the preview pane has been closed and
the view refreshed for the document which was most recently previewed.
